100% Whey, what exactly is it and where does it come from?
Their are countless protein sources available and many good ones, but none as good as whey protein, as it is the very best!It gets it’s origin from milk. Pure whey protein is separated from the milk during the cheese making process.
Protein can be found from other common foods-mostly meats, such as chicken, fish and beef.Other well known sources of protein include dairy products as well as cottage cheese and eggs. Soy and vegetables are also a great supplier of protein. The proteins in these foods are good but cannot compare to the quality of pure whey protein and it’s ease of use. Whey protein provides the best avenue for branched-chain amino acids. These amino acids are the direct result in building and retaining muscle.
Everything about Muscle Advance pure whey protein is ingenious. The idea behind it, the execution of the product development, it’s all picture perfect and I would not alter one thing about it and it’s ability to deliver the goods. Most importantly it came through for me in a big way. As I look back on it all I can say is Muscle Advance is the best whey protein I have ever used! Jeff
Proven scientific studies support and give solid evidence that good designer whey protein is a building block to the retention of muscle building. This stuff simply rocks! It is the one protein source that you do not want to be without as it is the foundation in a good muscle building program. With it’s undeniable ability to produce amino acids every fitness junkie and bodybuilder know the importance of using the best whey protein. Studies have been conducted on whey protein verses other protein sources and have found conclusively that whey is superior. Whey protein contains the perfect combination of amino acid make-up providing staggering results in the performance of the bodies muscles.Pure whey protein provides results of cellular and hormonal responses that greatly enhance muscle retention.Other benefits from whey protein is the strengthening of the bodies immune system and acts as an antioxidant to support overall health.
So who needs whey protein? Everybody! It is critical for bodybuilders, fitness junkies and athletes to partake of whey but will benefit anyone who takes it. As athletes and bodybuilders push their bodies on a regular basis they deplete their system of protein levels. Whey is a direct precursor to building muscle and amino acids and is responsible for quicker recovery time for worked muscles and builds up the level of protein to help the muscles grow faster. A good whey protein will also be a nice aid for anyone wishing to lose weight. Whey protein will help in balancing the blood sugar levels keeping them level. With balanced blood sugar levels one is less likely to go on eating rampages and provides more energy which in return produces greater fat loss. It provides an effective method for controlling ones diet and provides a better avenue for a healthy lifestyle.
Athletes in training very often consume 25 grams of whey protein per day. Bodybuilders who are pushing for maximum gains more typical consume around 150 grams a day. Depending on what type of training you are doing and how hard you are pushing will dictate the amount you will need. Best results are achieved taking lower amounts 3 to 5 times a day.
A study from Dec. 2001 found that the consumption of protein supplements will help defer the effects of over training. The intake of 0.88 grams of protein per pound of body weight produces results that helped prevent over training. Ball State University conducted the study on 17 athletes training with weights. They were subjected to a 4 week program of over tranning. They did max reps of 8-12 for 3 sets on eigth different exercises for 2 weeks. Then the next 2 weeks they did max reps 3-5 sets on five different exercises. Then the men where chosen to receive ether an amino acid or a placebo (0.88 grams per pound of body weight per day) for the remainder of their four weeks. The athletes that received the amino acids had measurably positive changes in their total testosterone compared to those given the placebo.Proving that adequate protein consumption is key to making great gains.
A study from Dec. 2001 found that protein combined with carbs is much better than protein alone for building muscle. The University of Texas Medical Branch measured the amount of uptake of the amino acid L-phenylalanine into healthy leg muscle tissue in 1 of 3 protein shakes. After 1 and 2 hours of an intense leg training session the shakes were consumed. They provided about 6 grams of protein,34 grams of carbs or both per shake for 150 bodybuilders. The
L-phenylalanine uptake in the protein and carb shake measured 3 x higher than the carb shake and about twice as great as the amino shake. Conclusive results! Make sure you are getting carbs in your post workout for best results.
